Wal-Mart Principle, The: An ancient scientific theorem that states that when an item deteriorates, wears out or breaks it is more efficient to replace it than to fix it. The name of the genius who developed the Principle has long since been forgotten.

Wilbor III, King: b. 1261, d. 1330. King of Nlad from 1280-1330.

Wire, the: A wire connected directly into various parts of the brain. Depending on which parts of the brain are wired, it was usually used for pleasure or entertainment. Highly addictive, it was the ultimate in virtual reality.
