Tragon has spent the time praying, and by the time he is finished he has regained that goody-two-shoed glow, that gleaming Pepsodent smile, and the generally overbearing moral stance that paladins seem to be blessed with.
Krrl is not impressed.
The rest of you finished collecting the other cult members in town. These consisted of a lady farmer and her three grown sons, and another farmer and his family. None of them created difficulties for your party.
After breakfast, the Mayor rises from his seat at the head of the table and goes over to the large window which faces north, looking out over the millpond. It is an overcast morning, and a little foggy. The temperature outside is about 40F.
"So, are you ready to depart for the Rushmoors?" he asks, turning to face you. "Do you need supplies or anything before you leave?"
Tragon looks at the others and shrugs. "Any healing potions, perhaps? Food and water, I think."
"And some decent wine ter refill me skins," Krrl grumbles.
"I fear you may be hard pressed to find such potions in Orlane right now," Zacharias replies. "As for food and drink, that will not be a problem."
"I thought as much, but I also thought that it didn't hurt to ask."
Valea says, "I am ready anytime."
"Well let's get this show on the road. I need to get some fresh air," says Thrwyn. Looking over at the ladies, he adds, "Some more nice sights as yourselves is always nice too. Looking at Lornard for the past few days has been rough."
You spend the rest of the day preparing for your journey. From the inns you acquire food and lots of wine for Krrl. Bertie's kitchen has certainly improved since you freed him from the curse of the cult, and he provides you with provisions at no charge. His wine cellar is in poor condition, though, and for liquid supplies you head over to the other inn, The Slumbering Serpent. Ollwin Cralloon's wine cellar is second to none in the area, and he also provides you with a dozen litres for free. It is here that you run into a former member of your party, Krista. She has decided that she would prefer a quiet life after all, and has taken employment with Ollwin and his wife, Belba.
