The EARTH story - February 10, 1372

February 10th is again overcast and cold, and, knowing your destination is at last near, you hurry on.

Late in the morning the road curves away from the Big Fish River, and takes aim at a narrow pass that runs between the Cursed Mountains and the southernmost volcano. At around this time you come to another intersection, as another trail runs off to the north. The signpost reads -

The Devil's Road: Southeast: To Long Valley and Yeti Pass.

West: To Dead man's Pass, Naza Lake and Dortleburg.

North: To The Valley of the Trolls.

Past this intersection the Road begins to climb steeply up into Dead Man's Pass, curving back and forth up the mountainsides.

Another night passes quietly.
