The EARTH story - March 27, 1372

Late in the morning of March 27th, Ayazin returns to the Inn of the Drunken Dwarf.

"Hello, Ayazin," Beth says. "find anything traipsing about with nature? Hug any good trees?"

Jon says, "Well, were we successful..?"

Aldarin looks up from his late breakfast (after another long night of carousing), "Gods be, our long lost companion returns."

Ayazin replies, "Greetings, my hung-over friend. I have ventured far and wide, slain fabulous beasts, and won piles of precious gold. Unfortunately, I couldn't carry it all, and I had to leave it hidden in the wilderness. We still have a week before Kelar and Brennon return, and the treasure is but a day's ride from here. If I any of you are willing to help me go back and retrieve it, I'll split the proceeds evenly with you."

At this, Aldarin's eyes flash and sparkle, "I'm always willing to help a friend in need. Just point me in the direction."

Beth looks at Ayazin with a half smile. In a not-entirely-serious tone of voice, she asks the druid, "Anything magical?"

Ayazin says, "I don't think so -- just gold. A small pack of leucrottae preying on passersby. Then again, I didn't check for magic, so there could be something I've missed."

Jon says, "I'm in..."

"So, it's Jon, Aldarin, Beth and I? The four of us, with horses, should be able to carry it. Anyone else? Shall we depart, then?"

Ayazin stands up, and you make for the stables.

The rest of you stay put.
