May 10th is partly cloudy and very windy. Soon after you set out this morning it begins to rain steadily. The temperature remains mild, though.
By now you are in the foothills of the Mountains of Nlad, and the road is winding through dense woodlands. After a few hours of riding you come to an intersection with a track running north into the mountains proper. A sgn reads -
To Tiramen's Folly.
You stay on the main road.
You ride throughout the day and by early evening reach the village of Valleymouth. It lies at the entrance to the pass leading up to Strabath. You vaguely recall that the ranger Wellyn, who adventured with you once back in January of this year before mysteriously disappearing, called this place his home.
Finding an inn, you spend the night here.
