At last you return to the house.

Today is warm but overcast, and virtually calm.

"I suggest we continue with our original plan and search top to bottom." J'Harast will then lead the way.

You head in and up.

Returning to the attic rooms where you battled the mongrelmen, you open the north door from which they came...taking care to step around the rotted corpses that still litter the hall and other room.

Revealed is another store room, 20' X 60' (20' east, 30' west, 20' north, no visible exits). This place is also piled high with junk, consisting of articles of old, broken furniture and clothes. You find nothing of value.

You head down to the floor below...where you fought the poltergeists and where Sasha acquired her tween (which is still with her, BTW).

Going through the west door at the end of the short hall, you stand at the north end of the long hall, lined with doors. You have already opened and explored the room in the northwest corner, so you open the next door in the west wall (10' - 20' section).

Beyond is a breakfast room...20' X 40' (10' south, 40' west, door in north wall east corner, windows in west wall). The windows to the west are boarded up. In here is a large table with eight chairs, set with china and cutlery. You are more concerned, however, with the six flying creatures zooming in at you. They appear to be small spherical shaped balls of fur, with two eyes, a large and toothy maw, and a 3' long tail. They have no wings.

A battle erupts, as the flying fur-balls separate, one going for each of you but Flintheart.

Shanaril looses a pair of arrows at the thing diving at him...the first goes wide but the second one hits it between the eyes. It falls dead at his feet.

Sasha bops the monster closing on her, and it too drops dead.

J'Harast takes a hit, as it clamps onto his neck and starts sucking his blood for 1 hit point of damage. Additionally, it swats him with the tip of its tail...there is a crackle of electricity, and he takes an additional 9 hit points of damage. The elf jams his longsword at it but misses, followed by his dagger which also misses.

Initiative is simultaneous for Illyana and her adversary. It misses her, and she misses it. Then the tail lashes out and the fighter takes 7 hit points of electrical damage.

Athmyr's swng with his morning star goes wide, as does the monster's attacks on him.

Pillar, looking pleased, blows it by missing...but then so does the fur-ball.

All of J'Harast's attacks miss, and he takes a further 2 hit points of blood loss, followed by 6 hit points of electrical damage.

Illyana and her foe both miss.

Athmyr is shocked for 5 hit points of damage, as he misses.

Pillar and his foe both miss.

Shanaril has out his sword, and aids J'Harast...missing.

Sasha attacks the beast on Pillar, and knocks it flying across the room. It crunches into the back wall and drops dead.

Again all of J'Harast's attacks miss, and he loses another hit point's worth of blood. The tail shocks him for 6 more hit points.

Shanaril also misses.

Athmyr misses, as does the fuzzball. Sasha comes in swinging, and another one dies.

The monster on Pillar attaches itself to him, and he takes one hit point of damage, followed by 6 more from the electrical shock. Illyana tries to help, but misses.

Two remain, and they are sucking on J'Harast and Pillar, respectively.

J'Harast takes 2 more hit points of blood loss and 3 more for electrical damage. At long last he pierces it with his dagger, and it drops off of him, dead.

Pillar suffers 2 more hit points of blood loss, followed by 6 hit points from the tail. He falls unconscious, but the monster continues to suck out his juices. Illyana continues to miss.

The monster continues to suck and zap the prone cleric, as Illyana and Sasha attack...

The fighter finally plunges her blade into the resiliant little creature, and it expires.

Pillar is near death.

"Well we didn't get all that much done on this trip. Someone needs to stabilize Pillar. Then we need to head back and heal up I think," comments Athmyr.

Sasha immediately casts cure light wounds on Pillar and then tries to do what she can if he has any open wounds and such.

J'Harast says, "Lets get out of here. I'm hurt real bad as well. Flintheart, can you carry Pillar?"

"Sure I can I'll just do it at the same time that I'm moving a few mountains. No probs for a brute like me."

Flintheart starts to lift Pillar.

Muttering, "These elves ought to get there eyesight checked. Just like they go around carrying people twice their size everyday..."

Somebody finally does help him to his feet, and you leave.
