The EARTH story - December 19, 1371

It is the evening of December 19, 1371 when you walk into the common room of the Inn of the Drunken Dwarf in Sandas...a cool night and cloudy. The place is crowded as usual, with an assortment of people of many races and trades. In other words, not much appears to have changed in the three-and-a-half weeks that you were away.

"Ah! There you are!" cries Luthus the innkeeper, upon laying eyes on you. "Ray Jay wants to see you!"

Ayazin says, "Ah yes, a glorious adventure that was. Do you remember how we slayed that blue dragon with nothing but a pickle and two sacks of wet mice? Though I had my worries when that demigod Zargon summoned that herd of buffalo. I dare say you'll appreciate your druids from now on, eh?"

"I should also visit the temple of Mielikki, I feel that I can learn quite a bit from them."

Rubbing her right wrist, Beth says, "Whew! I'm glad I didn't try to map that last bit of that Pyramid, or I'd have serious carpal tunnel now with the rate at which we went through it!"

"So, before I go off and cloister myself at the mage's guild for a few weeks and learn the mysteries of fourth order magic, does anybody have a complete list of the treasure we hauled out of that pyramid? If so, let's divide it up; a girl's got to finance her career, you know!"

Farad begins tallying up the treasure... but give him a day or two.

"And we blew throught that last bit of the catacombs so quickly that I lost track of what we might have found..."

Farad looks at the others. "I suggest all of us train... those that need to in any case, and then we meet back here and go see Ray Jay."

He looks at the others. "Who needs to train? I do not."

"Unless something drastically happens I won't have to train anymore, So I can stay and watch our stuff if need be." says Britan.

Beth raises her hand. "As I mentioned. Probably also ought to drop by my mother's house and get nagged. Farad, you wouldn't want to come by and pretend to be my husband, would you? My mother would be so pleased to think that I'd married a... shall we say... strong and very self-confident male."

Farad laughs. "Your mother obviously has good tastes. Agree to train me in my magic when next I am ready and I will agree. However first I must make a trip to see Verona. I dislike the woman... but there is the small matter of lycanthropy that needs to be seen to."

Beth says, "Actually, given the backlash that my mother would inflict upon me when she found out it wasn't true, I think it's best if we leave this as a joke...."

Farad gives a mock frown. "I'm wounded to the heart! Spurned by the one true love of my life."

"Don't worry," Beth says. "You'll never spurn yourself."

The elf continues his counting of the loot.

Gamvik watches with intense interest.

Aldarin says, "I have 7 people in the party and I've been keeping a running list of treasure:

  • 2,211gps
  • 1,000eps
  • 855sps
  • 3,370gps worth of jewelry
  • 2,571gps worth of furs
  • 1,997gps worth of gems

Magic Items

  • Rope
  • Chain Mail
  • Broad Sword
  • Wand
  • 2 Rings - Aldarin would like to take one
  • Scroll - ?
  • Scroll - Phantasmal Force
  • Scroll - Comprehend Languages, Levitate, Continual Light"

Aldarin adds, "I also need to train in the mystical arts. After we split up treasure, I think we should all take a few weeks or so to train and take care of business."

Sharone says, " I do not need to train at this point. Although I can spend some time at the Temple and around town if others need to train........

"Do we know any thing about the rings, wand or rope? Perhaps some of the magic users could try an identify and give us a clue." She looks around the group.

Goldragon would be interested in a ring if usable by a fighter. "Someday we might get to a point where we can identify a bunch of our magic items."

Ayazin says to the newcomer, "Who are you, Goldragon, and why do you keep following us around? And what makes you think we're going to give you any of our hard-earned treasure? Begone!"

"Get back here, Goldragon!" says that strange, nagging feminine voice out of the air again. "Or do I have to send my sweet Reggie after you? Maybe I'll send the stinking undead, instead!"

Humphrey looks embarrassed, "Sorry, I get confused sometimes. I think while people are training, I'll go and see someone who can straighten out my head."

"Let me take them away for a couple of days, and I'll run some Identify 2 spells on them," Beth says. "You can always trust me to bring them back, can't you?" she adds, with a sweet smile.

" I would like about lets say 2000gp instead of some of the magic items so that I may get a better set of armor while we are here," requests the cavalier.

Raz smiles and then says, "I would like to spend some time in the mages guild I think."

When you are set, you part ways. Beth, Aldarin and Raz make for the Guild. Sharone heads for her temple, and Ayazin heads for his. Farad goes to visit Verona. Britan seeks out an armourer, and Humphrey/Goldragon goes to visit his family.
