Salaam casts resurrection.

Zanax suddenly finds that he is alive again and sporting a new head.

Looking about, he finds that he is in Salaam's temple with the high priest himself standing over him and his companions watching.

Black-eye climbs over him, licking and slobbering.

Salaam chats with Lo afterwards to see how his former pupil is doing.

Zanax pets Black-eye, "Salaam, what happened? Why am I here?"

He feels his head, "And why do I feel so strange?"

Tully says, "The mind flayer killed you with his psionics. What do you mean by strange?"

Zanax frowns, "I do not know. Is my head intact?"

"It looks like it. Do you feel different? Have you lost some of your abilities or powers?"

Zanax tries to reach out to Tully with his telepathy.

There is a pause.

Zanax shrugs. "Well, I guess my psionics are still working, but I need to somehow defend myself against those mind flayers. Any suggestions?"

Tully says, "Yes. I think that some group is likely to have created a helmet to protect against mind flayers. They have always been around, so we need to find those helmets. A military installation should be our next target."

Zanax nods. "A good idea. When do we leave?"

Tully says, "Right now. Let's go. I think we should go back to that station
that has lost the nernal and clean up there. There may be things to save or
kill. Then we will find a military base."

Zanax shudders, "Are you sure none of those mind flayers are still around?"

Tully says, "I have no idea, but they have been a threat throughout time. I expect someone has come up with a way to protect against them."

Zanax sighs, "Considering how fast they can kill me, I think I should wait it out until we find a military base."

Tully says, "If the base is fully of mind flayers it won't make a difference. In fact, I expect any military base will likely have much heavier opposition. I am not sure we are ready for that yet."

"Salaam said he would train me," Lo says with a smile.

Tully says, "Why don't you train yourself on the way? My concern is that if we delay too long, the creatures on that last star port will die as the atmosphere is depleted."

"THE SPACE SHIP ADVISED THAT IT COULD NOT DETECT ANY OTHER LIFE FORMS," says the robot.

Tully says, "Oh, thanks for the reminder, Robot. I guess we don't need to go back there then, although we did find some interesting gear right at the door."

Lo smiles. "Well if I can train myself, let's go," he agrees.

Tully looks to Darian and Zanax. "What do you think? Should we head out and scavenge that space station while Lo trains or head to a military base?"

"I need to train as well, Tully. As a mage. So, I'd vote staying here."

Tully nods. "Then we stay."

Tully says after a pause, "Actually, I need to train too. If you don't have proficiency with these new fangled weapons, this is a good time to do it."

Tully will find someone in Sandas to train him.

Zanax heads back to the Amalda station and do some research about psionics, defending himself from mind flayers and what effects the implants will have on him.

The Steve Jobs lifts off from Occa's garden and rapidly climbs spacewards.
