"Great Orion Nebula"

Messier 42 in the constellation of Orion. At the extreme upper left the Horsehead Nebula is barely visible. Photographed January, 2015.

Pentax K-3 at ISO 3200, Pentax SMC-M 200mm F4 lens wide open, a stack of 35, 30 second exposures for a total of 17.5 minutes, piggybacked on an equatorially mounted Celestron 5 telescope. Processed with Iris and Adobe Photoshop Elements 11.
