February 23, 1372

Finally, on February 23rd, Gar gets bored and says, "I wish Occa's house was fully restored to it's condition before the fire."

There is a tremendous 'POOF' of displaced air from outside, and, rushing to the door of the stable, you look out to see that Occa's house is back...looking as if it never left.

"It iss ze miracle!" exclaims Frau Hilda. Then, she grabs Gar in an iron grip and kisses him passionately (for her) on both cheeks, nearly breaking a few of his ribs in the process.

"By the Pantheon, Thoth bless me!" Salaam says, looking at Gar in surprise. "You say you are human but can wish without casting a spell?" he inquires of Gar, quite interested now. "Perhaps there is a way for you to get us to your former lord's domain or is that above your ability?"

Gar smiles. "Actually, stating the wish was the spell. I can't cast them without study. As for getting into Vrith's domain..it is possible, although whoever rules that plane may be able to affect such a wish. I suppose if it were worded well."

He shrugs.

He heads to the house. "Tomorrow, I will try to find Ryshara."

"Thank you Gar," the bard says. "We need to discuss things about Vrith and recovery of Occa's soul."

"Of course. Whenever you are ready."

You all head inside, Emm bringing up the rear. The house has been restored and furnished exactly as it was previously. There is even a fire blazing in the hearth of the formal living room. All that is missing is Jeeves the butler.

Jesse nods to Gar, sitting down. "Lets cut to the chase. You have been doing what you can to gain our trust, and for the wish to help Salaam and restore this place, I thank you. However, your nature is not as you told me, and I am suspect of teleporting into Vrith's palace without more information and understanding why I should trust you. First, do you know if he has any protections against teleportation into his lair? Second, do you know anything more about the exchange between Vrith and the moral you mentioned?"

Gar shrugs. "I am not doing all I can to earn your trust. I have a goal that is vengeance. You can believe it or not. Your call." He pauses and says, "What do you mean about my nature? What have I told you about my nature that isn't true? As for knowing about his protections...no, I had no idea. However, I am not sure how that is true. I was able to teleport there before, so I am not sure what protections he would have...unless there is only one place you can teleport. Unless there is only one place you can teleport. It was full of creatures." He shrugs again. "However, we don't have to go there via teleport. I don't care. I do care about taking out Vrith, though."

He finally sighs. "If I knew about this exchange, I would have said so. I told you what I did know."

"Vengeance can be a great motivator," the bard says, "And one that is very fickle, which is my concern."

"Yes, it is indeed," agrees Emm.

Gar shrugs. "I can understand that. It would be unwise not to be. However, that is your problem until you can figure out a way to remedy the situation."

"Where did you teleport to? Into his stronghold or outside?"

"Into it.

"Anymore questions? Or do you want to go do some more divining to see if I am telling the truth?"

Jesse laughs and shrugs. "I am sure that will come later. I want all the information I can to make this trip a success. What can you tell me about this soul stealing device? Is it easy to operate, how can we avoid its effects? "

"It was a big gold key. I don't know how it worked exactly, but I believe Zanax was able to resist it for a while. Of course, he was taking damage as well so it may have been tied to how well off you are. Finally Vrith stunned Zanax and that was that."

Gar says, "Oh, the room we teleported into was large. Don't know the dimensions as it was shrouded in darkness. It was the room I had met Vrith in. That is all I know on that. Any more questions?"

"Does anyone else have any questions or comments at this point?" the bard says, looking around, "If not, Gar, do you want to find Ryshara? How do you plan to do it and do you need help?"

Gar shrugs. "Actually, I have just decided not to bother. I suppose I have no good reason to find her. As for how...I was going to use another wish."

He sits down and waits for any more questions.

Jesse speaks up. "OK, Gar, can you please make a couple of teleport without error scrolls and any other scrolls that you feel are appropiate. We continue to do research and prepare. I want to go visit Kadlian's group and invite them to join us in our assult on Vrith. We will leave when that group is ready to go."

"Sure."

"Excellent. Let us all prepare as we wish for this endevour. If you can, making scrolls or other items will be useful."

Gar heads for the mage's guild to research the inks needed to write the scrolls.

Jesse heads over to the Inn of the Drunken Dwarf, but returns after being told that Kadlian and his party have now relocated to Strabath.
