The 15th day of Reaping is again hot and drizzly. Coming out of the inn, you regard the signpost in the centre of the town square -
The Greyhawk Road: Northeast: To
Southwest: To Backfolds Keep, Taff's Well and Greyhawk.
Southeast: To Tadworth Hollows.
You follow the Greyhawk Road towards its namesake city.
The Road follows the south shore of the Nyr Dyv, and at noon you come to Backfolds Keep. This is a fair sized castle of Men, sitting atop a low bluff overlooking the Nyr Dyv and a dry stream bed. A stone bridge crosses the stream bed, and several men come out to collect the toll (5cp apiece). A half a dozen peasant huts sit between the bluff and the bridge. Right by the bridge is an inn - The Backfoldian - busy and obviously prosperous. The lands surrounding the castle are a cultivated patchwork of fields and pastures, well tended. You stop for lunch at the inn and have a good meal before continuing.
The afternoon ride is uneventful. Finally as night comes on you stop for the night and make camp a short distance off of the road, atop a cliff overlooking the lake.
