You set out a little later this morning than usual, pausing to linger over breakfast while you wait for Valdar, who has gone off somewhere. Finally he returns, and you set out north, with Niko accomanying you.
"I did not give you a complete answer to your question last night," Valdar says to the sailor, once you are out of town. "I was afraid that there may have been spies in that inn. I do not know the organisation of these pirates...or how far their reach extends. But yes, I do have a good idea as to the exact location of their lair. I have people watching it."
For the first few miles you pass through farmland, now fallow, but soon you reenter the forest. The land is flat for the most part, and the road parallels the seacost, less than half a mile inland.
That night you make a camp down by the beach, and fall asleep to the sound of the crashing surf.
Nothing disturbs you.
