April 2nd is a sunny, mild day with a pleasant breeze. Remembering the route from your library researches, you turn east down the Great Western Road. Again you make excellent progress today on your horses, with the blink dogs trotting and teleporting along beside you and the treants keeping up with long, easy strides.
Late in the afternoon you came to the halfling town of Hobbitown.
Hobbitown is a village by human standards, but a booming metropolis as far as halflings are concerned. 600 halflings live here.
In the middle of town is a major intersection, where two Great Roads meet, along with several others. As usual, there is a signpost -
The Great West Road: East: To North End, Adford and Derextar.
West: To Bilboburgh, Hambol Hollow and Westmarish.
The Amlad Road: East: To Burl Grav, Calamlad and Golgar.
North: To Tallhollow.
South: To Hilltop.
You are quickly directed to the Mug, a large, rambling inn, where you take rooms for the night, eat an enormous meal, and sleep in real beds for the second night running.
