April 26th is warm but rainy.
During the morning the Saltar Road curves steadily more eastward, as you progress through the Southern Forest. This is a dense deciduous woodland, and the trees are coming into leaf. It seems strange to think that only three days ago you were slogging through snow. At around noontime you come to an intersection with a trail heading off south into the woods. There is a signpost -
The Saltar Road: Northwest: To Golgar and Calamlad.
Southeast: To Bridgewater and South Nolthen.
South: To The Boring Dungeon.
South does not sound very interesting, so you ride southeast.
That night you camp in the woods again.
