June 6, 1372

June 6th is hot (90F) and overcast, but the tropical storm has moved east and things are drier.

At midmorning you come to Tybol.

Tybol is a fair sized town and the capitol of the Province of Tybolia. It is now under the rule of Clarvis of Arble. Tybol straddles a small river, is at a major crossroads and is clearly a vibrant market town. Wandering around the place you see several houses of healing, tailors, armourers, an alchemist's shop, several jewelers, a scribe, a magic user supply shop, five temples (Odin, Balder, Idun, Frigga, Untamo), a small university, a small castle (the only building in town which shows any sign of being in a battle recently), five inns, three taverns, three restaurants, several clothiers and five guild houses (leathermaker's, carpenters, metalworkers, smiths and jewelers).

As expected, in the centre of town at the main intersection there is a signpost -

The Imperial Road: East: to Vandrake, Mobile and Barfingham.
West: To End, Portland and Crystal Valley.

North: To Near Insanity and Far Insanity.

South: To the East Fens and Boonswoggle.

The population of the town appear to be relatively prosperous...though you do notice that there are very few men or women about of fighting age.

"Can we look around for awhile?" Logan asks.

"Yes, as I mentioned before, we are going to look into their lich problem. We could all use a break from travelling and an increase to our purses.

"Let us find an inn. Everyone, keep your ears open. We need to learn more about what has been going on here."

You go to a place called The Inn With Lots of Stairs, so named because it has...lots of stairs. It seems to be a good place, if not great. The rooms are clean, the food plain but tasty and available in large quantities, the beer robust.

Rage had purchased components for identify spell and was planning to cast it on all unidentified magic items.

"Rage, I do not have a complete list of what we took back from hell. Logan, do you know what you folks found in that fort you explored?"

"Not much, from what I can recall, just a lot of fighting and not much to show for it!" he says with a shrug, obviously just interested in seeing what his long time blade can do.

Carburator says, "Anyone have second level spells I could copy? I can learn them now."

Rage replies, "I have many spells you can copy."

Niko pulls out his spellbooks. "Here are my spells. Copy whatever you want."

Carburator says, "Thank you, Rage and Niko!"
