November 15, 1372

A month passes quickly, and suddenly you are all back at Occa's mansion, all trained up and ready to go.

Edelle and Windul present Kadlian with a bill for 12,000gp, to cover the cost of their training.

Trinity presents you with the results of her identification session.

One of the items was cursed, though, and Trinity is now a male.

Hlarn would like to take 10 of the small envelopes that make the unseen seen.

In addition to being flattered by Trinity's mooning after him, Dor would like to claim the potion that seems to make the world slow down.

Trinity is now a man.

Dor always wanted a henchman, but this is a little too much. Oh well, he will make the best of things.

"Trinity, get me a beer."

"Yes sir, Massa sir," says Trinity, bowing low to Dor as he walks to the bar to get a large mug of ale.

"Massa Dor, Massa Dor here is your beer," he says as he pours the whole mug over Dor's head.

"How's that?" asks the mage.

Niko grumbles, "Wasting good beer..."

Niko regards Trinity and then turns to the others. "See, didn't I tell you...she has...errr, had...penis envy?"

Galil's eyes travel over Trinity with an amused smile. "Interesting change for you. I would suggest a change of clothing however."

Malvis' eyes go wide as he notices Trinity, and he blurts out, "Enough joking, Trinity.  Now, turn yourself back the way you are supposed to be."

"What's up mate?" says Trinity.  "It seems Fate has played a cruel trick on me, so I'll have to use this one for a while.  Ever since Rage was freed, things have been different.  And well, now they are even more so.  We have to roll with the punches."

"Uh, sure.  Roll with the punches,"  Malvis looks like someone just punched him.  "But, don't you want to get it reversed?"

"Yea, sometime.  But not today," says Trinity.

Galil chuckles. "I rather like the new Trinity and the name still works as it is gender neutral."

"Well, let's see how big this thing really is," says the mage as he begins to reveal those parts best left hidden.  "Put up or shut up.

"And you know the best thing? I can pee standing up, now."

Niko chuckles, "I bet there have been many whose path you have crossed that have always thought that!"

Trinity the man is now wearing a highland style kilt, warm boots, manly purple shirt with a flower in the lapel and a top hat, along with his usual other gear.

"Is it the shirt?  It seemed an appropriate color for a colorful Wizard, such as I.  Or is it the hat?  Is that over the top?"  asks the mage, pointing to his purple manly man shirt, and black top hat. "The kilt, well it is comfortable, and now I know what a Scot wears under his kilt."

"A Scott?"  Galil asks.  "I have no idea what that might be.  What does one wear under such a garment?"

"Why Ma'am, nothing is worn under the kilt, it's in perfect working order," says Trinity, deadpan to Galil.

Galil nods. "That would make sense.  I had presumed you meant that something should be worn under that garment but it seems much more convenient this way."

Galil smiles.

Malvis would like to put a claim in on the "Ring that protects".

Niko would like to take the potion of giant strength.

"If the group is amenable, one of the magic longswords would improve my usefulness to the group as it would allow me to hit creatures requiring magic weapons to hit."

Kadlian offers one of the longswords to Lerelith.

"Please, take one."

Kadlian would like to claim the potion of giant strength, potion of flying, potion of invisibility, potion of ESP, ring of human influence and five small envelopes of dust of appearance.

Dor        Potion that makes world slow down
Malvis     Ring that protects
Lerelith    enchanted longsword (Which one???)
Kadlian    Potions - giant strength, flying, invisibility, esp
            Ring of human influence
5 envelopes of dust of appearance
Galil      Longsword effective against enchanted creatures
Hlarn      10 envelopes of dust of appearance
Trinity    Rod - negates magic
            Wand - cancels magic
            Dagger

"Kadlian, do your followers need anything?  Malvis, take this dagger," says Trinity.  "You may need it.  Can anyone use a mace, we have two.  As for potions, I would suggest everyone look over those and take a few, they do little good stored, and some of them could be quite useful, especially for the fighters, such as the potions of which there are 8.  These I think are potions of heroism or superheroism, which are very useful before a major battle.  There are also 6 magic arrows that we should bring with us."

"I will let them pick after everyone else has had a chance to claim what they are interested in."

"And I will take the arrows.  I had not noticed them in the list."

"Thanks, Trinity.  And if no one wants the Ring of Human Influence, I would be glad to have it," says Malvis earnestly.

Trinity casts invisibility and detect invisibility on the rod and wand to see if she can learn the power words for these items.

There are no command words on the rod. On the wand, she sees the invisible words 'make it stop'.

"Hey!  Where's my claim on the potion of giant strength?" asks Niko.

Niko will also take a potion of superheroism.

"I would be interested in the Human sized plate mail and one of the magical shields," says Ragnar.

Niko chimes in, "I think that you and Kadlian are vying for the Ring of Human Influence...and that Kadlian and I both want the potion of giant strength."

"By the goddess' name, I would not trust ANYONE in this group with THAT item.  Heaven help us all."

"Shoebee,  no one asked your opinion." says Trinity, "Most of these folks are trustworthy and lawful.  However, I'd suggest I take the ring, as men wearing finely crafted hats like mine can be trusted."

Niko laughs heartily and slaps Dor on the back (unfortunately spilling more beer), "Har har har!  Now that's funny!  Isn't it Dor?"

Potion that makes world slow down - Dor
Ring that protects - Malvos
enchanted longsword (Which one???) - Lerelith

Galil raises her brows, her smile a cold one.  "Lerelith, please spare us your displays of stupidity.  You have not been with this group long enough to make that assessment."

Galil dismisses him coolly and turns to Lord Kadlian and Malvis. "However, as a Cavalier, I am best suited to wield a ring of such power."

"Why?  As the leader of this group, I was hoping that I could use it to make a better first impression on people we meet."

Galil nods. "That is an obvious strategy and likely to be expected by whomever we meet. Better to have it in reserve for those times it is truly needed. It is not a toy to impress local yokels, but a powerful tool to be used only when our natural talents are insufficient."

"Which, for me, is usually."

"Perhaps all that is needed is a fresh face with which to greet those we meet.  I could be the official greeter of the group to leave you with the more important task of assessing our situations and preparing to act accordingly.  A Cavalier's rank and importance can perhaps sway an otherwise neutral meeting," Galil offers.

"And our charm. Don't forget our charm," says Trinity.

"We have charm?" asks Kadlian.

"Yea, forth order spell, usually works too. But I prefer the more destructive spells at that level," says the man.

"I'd say if we didn't try to kill them and were receptive to talking first, that might go a long way to making a positive first impression," says Trinity.

"That was my thought."

"A good one, Kadlian," says Trinity. "Now let's try to put it in action."

"We will have to see what the dice say.  Malvis and Galil also wish to have the ring."

Galil raises a brow in surprise. "You would leave strategy and logic to the whim of chance?"

Malvis immediately speaks up, and protests, "No; if our leader wants the ring, well, let him have it, as far as i am concerned.

Dor laughs at Trinity. "You know that's a funny way to show that you are madly in love with me."

Dor laughs again and goes to get a beer.

Trinity looks up at Dor and frowns.

"Oh Dorie-Poo. I'm soooo sorry. I didn't know what happened just now... Honey, dear.  Let me get you a beer." he says in a slightly effeminate tone. Pulling a hanky out, "First, let's clean up this mess, shall we? We can't have you catching a cold now with all this wet beer on you. Not with us going into the dungeon and all. Come here to old Trinity," he says, as he begins to try to wipe the beer off of Dor.

"Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear," he keeps muttering.  "Wait, let me try something."  says the mage, before casting a dry spell on Dor, to remove the wet beer from the man.

"Now snuggly-puss, let's get you a drink," says the man, swaggering over to the bar, "A glass of wine for me and a big beer for that studly looking man over there," says Trinity to the barkeeper.  "And don't you ladies get any ideas, I saw him first."

Galil rolls her eyes.

"Humans," she sighs softly, obviously quite puzzled by their behavior.

"Sometimes they're bigger faeries than we elves," says Windul.

Niko looks at Windul strangely. "What do you mean sometimes?"

Galil nods in a distracted way. "Hopefully it will not distract them from the job at hand."

"And how might my Dorie-pourie distract me from my task at hand?" asks Trinity, returning with the beer and wine.  "Here we go, Dor dear.  And I brought you some pretzels as well, which are junk food, but we'll allow it this time.  You are putting on a few pounds, and you need to lose that if you are going to be in prime fighting physique."

"Now then, what is our plan?" say the mage, sitting next to Dor and resting his hand on the fighters leg.

"If we are done?  Can we move on to why we are here?" asks Kadlian impatiently.

"He's soooo impatient," says the mage. "I think he's jealous of us, Dorie-pooh."

Frowning, he continues, "OK Mr, Grumpelf, why are we here?"

"We are here to clear the Tower.  Can we get to it?"

"Well then why are we here drinking? Gentlemen, the king's life is in danger.  We have work to do," says Trinity. Standing up, he adjusts his very fine hat and checks his bullwhip and dagger, staff and last but not least, his manhood. "Everything is check. Let's go. Coming, Dor?"

"We were claiming magical items.  But, if we are done with that, let us move on."

"Oh." says Trinity, putting his arms around Dor.

"I claim him," says the mage.  "He's my magic item."

"Trinity, were you cursed by something other than the gender changing potion?"

"Either cursed, or else a potion that lowers one's standard in regards to men," says Malvis.

"Cursed, Kadlian?" says the mage.  "Not that I know of, why would you ask?"

"Because of your sudden interest in Dor.  He is a nice enough guy and real handy in a fight, but  he has never been one to turn your head before.  And I have to ask myself, why now?"

"Jealous? As for turning my head, well, he's so well hung," says the mage, pointing to his scabbard.  "And I recently noticed him, that's all.  No curse at all."

"Not jealous, Trinity, just concerned.  Maybe being turned into a man was more traumatic than I realized for you."

"Hey, chill out man. It's me, old Trinity, here for you. Ready to fireball the bad guys and then party down with the guys afterwards. Nothing's changed."

"Yes, things have changed. Your behavior, for one."

"My behavior?" says Trinity, looking aghast. "Oh no, I'll have to repress my behavior. No more. Okay.  I can do this."

Trinity attempts to sit there, quiet as can be ...

That lasts less than a minute, before the man blurts out, "Can't...do...it..."

"I did not expect that you would."

"Why? You expected me to fail?" says Trinity, annoyed."Or more likely you know my nature, and sitting still just ain't in it."

"Yes, I know your nature."

"Ranger, philosopher. Impressive," says Trinity. "How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?"

Trinity looks at Kadlian, his head cocked to one side. "Look at him, don't you just want to eat him up?"

"Not at all."

"Why not?  You saying my taste in men is bad?" asks Trinity.  "But truth be told, we have yet to consummate our relationship," says the mage, with a knowing wink. "He's so shy about things."

"To my knowledge, you had no previous interest in anyone.  Now that you have tested those potions and other magical items, you have changed. What would anyone think?"

"Well, there is that, I concede the point," says Trinity. "So what do you think?"

"Galil, can you try and talk some sense into her...um him?"

Trinity laughs. "That'll be an interesting conversation."

Galil frowns in surprise. "What sense?  I do not counsel others on their sexual appetites.  Trinity seems not to have lost her .. his talent for spellcasting so his choices are none of our concern."

"Indeed. Hlarn, do you have a remove curse spell handy?"

"Why, I ain't cursed!" says Trinity. "I think you have it all wrong."

"No, just like Niko behaved oddly with the hat, you are also behaving oddly. And I think you drank a love potion."

"Well his hat was not as fine as my hat, so clearly that was one of the problems. The other being the fact it was Niko," says Trinity.

"Next time, we go back to using Hlarn's methodology where he auguries piles ahead of time to try and limit the chance of hitting cursed items."

"Yeah, yeah...whatever," says Trinity.

Niko looks to Kadlian. "Rock, paper or scissors?"

"Die roll. Hlarn's dice."

Niko's eyes light up, "Dice?  I like to dice...care to make a side wager, too?"

"For what purpose?"

Niko looks perplexed. "Purpose?  Why for fun, of course!  How about loser has to kiss Trinity?"

"Why would you want to torture Trinity?"

Niko nods, "Good point!  We should have seconds...like in duels!  I nominate Malvis to be my second!"

Malvis turns to Niko, slightly puzzled, and asks, "You're going to fight someone?  Who?"

"No, I do not think so."

Niko sighs, "Oh, well.  Hlarn, where's those dice of yours?"

Hlarn takes out his dice and rolls...
