When you are ready, Malbar joins you in the stables of the inn. He wears a suit of gleaming bronze plate mail, and carried a sheathed scimitar. Otherwise, his kit is nondescript.
It is getting towards midmorning when you finally set out, riding your horses and leading your pack animals laden with food, water and supplies. Malbar leads you east, pays your toll to cross a small river, and out of Fairford. The road parallels the coastline, and out in the bay you can see some of the small fishing boats. You are passing through an area of fields and pastures that evidently rings the town, but ahead of you the land begins to rise.
After a few miles the cultivated area ends, and you pass into scrubby grassland. The hills extend mainly to the north...and the roads wends its way close to the bay where the land remains flat.
The day passes quietly, as you follow the coastline. You are generally heading slightly south of east. You cross several small rivers and one larger one, so water is not a problem...though you note that the land is getting drier as you progress.
You make camp a short distance off the road when evening comes.
After eating and setting watches, you bed down for the night under a starry sky populated with strange constellations. There seem to be many more bright stars in the Oerth sky, and the band of the Milky Way is much brighter as well.
Before retiring Sharone pulls a number of fist sized cloth bundles from her backpack.
Opening one the group is startled by the bright light spilling out of the bundle.
"I've cast a Continual Light spell on some sling bullets. Thought they might prove helpful to the human types at night or underground when light is poor."
She has 5 available to anyone how wants one.
Tassier says, "I will take one. Thanks."
He takes one of the bullets.
Britan walks over to Sharone. "Yes, that would come in handy...thank you."
Aldarin stays up for a while reading his spellbook for a while near the fire.
