The EARTH story - Sunsebb 14, 583

The 14th day of the month of Sunsebb sees the clouds thinning and the sun - or whatever the star that Oerth orbits is called - coming out. It looks to be another hot day ahead, so you set out early.

It is another quiet trek today. The trail bears more and more to the west, until at last, early in the afternoon, you find yourselves standing atop a headland, several hundred feet high, overlooking Woolly Bay. Ahead of you, the trail and the coast turn abruptly back to the southeast, the landscape becoming more and more desert-like. There is a cooling breeze off of the bay, here, though, and Malbar suggests that you stop and wait until the worst heat of the day has passed before continuing. This you do, and resume travelling late in the afternoon.

Another uneventful night passes. You sleep more fitfully, for the temperature does not drop below 80F.
