Things in the Earth campaign - S
Sceptre of the Gods: This artifact was a gift from the Wizards to
the first Cosmen who returned to Earth and who went on to found the
Empire of Saltar. It is a unique
artifact, both beneficial and dangerous for the owner. It appears as
a bejeweled rod some 4 feet in length, constructed of a strange blue
metal which seems to glow softly. At its base it is only about 2"
wide, flaring slightly at the other end to 4". At the top is a large
diamond. Three smaller diamonds flank it. Two lines of rubies and
sapphires entwine their way up the length of the Sceptre, forming a
double helix. The Sceptre is part of a triad of relics, the others
being the Sword of the Emporer and the Robe of the Blessed. For
millennia the Emporer of Saltar possessed these items, and gained
great powers - both good and bad - from them. In the chaos which
followed after Imrimil invaded Nolthen
the three relics were taken by agents unknown, and secreted away in
dark hiding places.
Sinclair molecular chain weapon: a weapon (usually a sword or
dagger) constructed from an artificial molecule chain only one
molecule thick. The blade is invisible and can cut through just about
any material. An article of technology, they are non-magical.
Sword of the Emperor: This artifact was a gift from the Wizards
to the first Cosmen who returned to Earth and who went on to found
the Empire of Saltar. It is a unique artifact, both beneficial and
dangerous for the owner. It appears as a bejeweled longsword, the
blade constructed of a strange blue metal which seems to glow softly.
The pommel is of adamantite, and a large (10,000gp) diamond is set at
its base. The blade is engraved with the sigil of three stones
seemingly orbiting each other in space. The Sword is part of a triad
of relics, the others being the Sceptre of the Gods and the Robe of
the Blessed. For millennia the Emperor of Saltar possessed these
items, and gained great powers - both good and bad - from them. In
the chaos which followed after Imrimil invaded Nolthen the three
relics were taken by agents unknown, and secreted away in dark hiding
places.
