However, when you come out of Jump on the edge of the Sol system there is a large body of ice and rock dead ahead of you! Before anyone can react, the Steve Jobs collides with the comet, impacting it at essentially the speed of light. Even with full inertial dampening you are still thrown about the cabin as everything goes black. Black-eye wails and wraps himself around Zanax's head. "WARNING! WARNING! EXTREME DANGER!" intones the robot. Tully says, "We are still alive? That is a good sign." "Steve Jobs, can you do a damage assessment? Robot, can you provide some light?" "AFFIRMATIVE." The robot turns on his high-beams, dazzling you all in the garish light. Apart from being covered in deep fried tofu sticks, the cabin looks unharmed. Steve Jobs does not reply. Tully checs the controls and see what kind of damage has been done. Are any of the view ports open? There are no controls but for the touch wheel in the middle of the table in the centre of the cabin. The viewer in the forward bulkhead is dead. The ship seems to be dead. There is no visible door, though you know the place in the wall where it should be. Tully says, "Well, that isn't good." He pulls out his sinclair blade and says, "Make sure your shields are up. There may not be any atmosphere out there. In fact, activate your packs so that you can resist any pull. Robot, can you grab onto something?" The robot grabs Wang. Once everyone is ready, he starts to cut a small hole in the side of the ship....to slowly let out the atmosphere or to see if there is no atmosphere outside. "Ow!" says the voice of Steve Jobs when Tully starts to cut. "Tully, hold on for a second... Before you go tossing us out into space, maybe we can explore inside, first? There's good air in here an it won't go bad for a while." Darian looks around. "Robot, can you interface with Steve Jobs and determine if any of it is functional?" "NEGATIVE, JOHN ROBINSON." "And I wonder how far I can teleport?" Tully says, "Oh, let me see if I can figure out what is going on." He tries to interface with the Steve Jobs and run some diagnostics on the ship. Tully closes his eyes and concentrates... Suddenly Wang stands at full attention. Tully chuckles. "Prepare to abandon ship. This vessel is damaged beyond repair, but we will take Steve Job's memory and persona with us. I am not sure what is outside, but let's try to stick together." He straps a flight pack onto the back of Robot and then gets out some rope. He ties a harness around robot and then ties 6 lines around the harness that are 10 feet long each. "Everyone grab a line and try to hold on. Keep your shields up." Tully gets out an extra shield belt and ties it around robot as well. "Don't activate it unless you have to do so since it might cut the ropes." "AFFIRMATIVE." "You can let go of me now," says Wang. "Tully, if we have to abandon this spaceship, I would suggest we take everything that is useful to us. If there are spacesuits, getting into them might be a good idea. If there are extra shield belts, we might want to wear as many extras as possible." Tully nods. "I agree." Zanax asks, "Are there not other scout ships aboard the Steve Jobs?" "No, the Steve Jobs is a scout ship. There are others aboard the space station." "DO NOT FORGET THE JUPITER 2, WILL ROBINSON." "Oh, I haven't. It is our ace in the hole, but I don't think I can expand it in here." Lo grimaces when Wang gets yanked. "Let's just get another ship and download Steve into it," Lo says with a 'duh' look. Suddenly the walls of the Steve Jobs fade to transparency and then solidify again. Then they fade away for good, and you are all floating in a black, featureless void, connected to each other only by a length of rope. There is no sign of the comet that you collided with. Tully pulls out the Jupiter 2 and expands it. He then moves along the outside of the hull and opens the door to it. "Everyone in!" You all crowd into the airlock. You close the outer door and the lock pressurizes. A moment later you are in the main control cabin of the Jupiter 2, and it looks like the latest crisis is passing. "You will address me from this point on as iWang, iPenis or iCock," says Wang. "I want a celery stick." Black-eye growls at Wang and licks his lips hungrily. Zanax asks Tully, "What will happen to Steve Jobs?" Tully sits down at the controls of the Jupiter II and says, "Well, I am hoping that we can download his memories into another scout ship. Let's stop at the Amalda station before heading back to Sandas." He Jumps to Amalda. "I wonder if Razmataz hit us with a meteor storm or something? We need to divine how and why that happened."
