Orlon suggests that you rest and take turns as lookout. In the morning, we can explore the ruins if the party wants.

Occa says, "Yes, that is a good idea....we should do it tomorrow."

"I would be interested in exploring, unless we have a deadline to be somewhere..."

"There is no deadline," Valdar replies to Salaam.

Occa says, "I am in no hurry to travel on and wouldn't mind exploring other creatures loot...err, I mean ruins." He smiles and says, "My vote is to explore!"

Dani grins, "You just know we are going to have some exciting times there - "

"Dear Dani, I can see to that irrespective of the ruins..." offers Salaam.

"- ruins are never just that. I would be prepared for the worst." Dani cautions.

"Really?" Dani asks. "And how might that be?" She says with a smile.

"I couldn't agree more," Salaam says as he bows in her direction.

Occa says, "Of course not...that is why we are called adventurers and not just fools." He laughs.

"So we go to the ruins? I've never been to a ruins in this part of the world before? I wonder if there are songs about it. I'll have to think about this now." says Jesse.

March 3rd is clear and mild with a steady sea breeze blowing inland from the west. After breakfast you leave the Elven Coast Road and strike off northwards along the border of the swamp. There is no road here, so you leave your wagon and your mounts behind, in the care of Robert, and Op Code's followers.

All day you move slowly through the dense woodlands that border the marsh. At first you are heading pretty well north, but as the day wears on you find that you are moving eastwards. By nightfall you have come to a coastline. Before you (to the east) is a bay, extending for some distance to the south, and as far as you can see to the north. Eastwards, you see several forested islands in the bay. In the dying light on the far side of the bay, over a dozen miles distant, you see a darkened city.

Behind you is a range of hills, extending northwards, and you realize now that you are moving up a peninsula, separating the bay from the open ocean to the west.

"This must be Frisco Bay," says Valdar. "It opens to the ocean to the north of us. That city over there is Frisco. We must pass through it eventually. It is a ruin, and ruled by a high priest of Surma named Bijou. He is evil, and somewhat insane, but he causes little trouble - usually - if one pays his tolls."

You spend a quiet night encamped by the bay, and the lapping of the waves lulls you to sleep.
