June 17th is slightly cooler and overcast. you continue your slow climb over the Mountains of Nlad. By afternoon you have reached the top of the pass, and the Diamondmere, the lake which is the source of the Aas River. For the rest of the day and evening you ride along its tranquil shore, and that night you watch the last quarter moon rise over its waters.
