The next day is also extremely hot but overcast, and a strong breeze helps to mitigate the heat. The trail you have been following keeps close by a small river for most of the day. As evening approaches you at least leave the Cairn Hills and enter an area of farms and pastures, cultivated by halflings. As the sun sets you come to Hardford, a halfling town (popularion 300), close by the shore of the Nyr Dyv: the largest body of fresh water in the Flanaess.

You spend the night at an inn called the Mill. As halfling establishments go...you have seen better. The beds tend to be short and lumpy and the food is indifferent.
